    1. Who we are

    YNKCopitaspay ("we", "us", "our") is an over-the-counter (OTC) crypto exchange service operating primarily through WhatsApp at +234 816 696 3450. We help users in Nigeria buy and sell cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT) for Nigerian Naira (NGN).

    2. Information we collect

    • Contact details — your WhatsApp number and name as displayed on WhatsApp.
    • Transaction details — the asset, amount, wallet address, and bank account information you provide for each trade.
    • Identity verification (KYC) — for larger transactions we may request a valid government-issued ID and a selfie to comply with anti-money-laundering (AML) regulations.
    • Communications — messages exchanged with our team or AI bot to process trades and provide support.
    • Website usage — anonymous analytics such as pages visited and approximate location, used only to improve the service.

    3. How we use your information

    • To execute and settle the crypto trades you request.
    • To verify your identity and prevent fraud, money laundering, and financing of illegal activity.
    • To comply with applicable Nigerian laws, CBN guidance, and EFCC/NFIU reporting requirements.
    • To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
    • To improve our pricing, bot responses, and overall user experience.

    4. Sharing of information

    We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

    • Banks and payment processors used to settle Naira payments.
    • Blockchain networks — wallet addresses and transaction hashes are public by design.
    • Regulators and law-enforcement agencies when legally required.
    • Service providers (e.g. WhatsApp/Meta, hosting providers) strictly to operate the service.

    5. Data retention

    We retain transaction and KYC records for at least five (5) years after your last transaction, as required by Nigerian AML rules. After that period we securely delete or anonymise the data.

    6. Security

    We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your wallet keys, bank credentials, and WhatsApp account secure. We will never ask for your wallet seed phrase or bank password.

    7. Your rights

    Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligation to retain transaction records. To exercise these rights, contact us on WhatsApp.

    8. Changes to this policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
